What is your boxing background?
I have been a boxer for 16 years, 7 years of those as a professional. I started as an amateur in Houston Texas when I was 17 years old at a boxing gym called PABA (Progressive Amateur Boxing Association) in 3rd Ward. Moved to San Antonio in 2006 and joined Ramos Boxing Team and have been with them ever since. Total unofficial amateur record of 22 wins- 5 losses. 3 Golden Glove Regional Finals appearances, Ringside World Championships 2x Runner up.
Professional Record 3-0, 1 KO.
What is your Coaching background?
I have always specialized in fitness, cross-training performance for various athletes, and most of all boxing for any level from beginner to professional competition. I can program for any age and for various sports; volleyball, golf, boxing, professional basketball, professional racecar drivers, pro wrestlers, MMA fighters, football players, tennis players and many more… Moreover, I have taken clients ages ranging 5-75 yrs. of age and prepped them for amateur/professional competition in boxing and otherwise. Although I have an extensive resume over the last decade, I love my daily recurring fitness clients. The joy of helping others lose fat, build muscle or prevent/correct chronic conditions never loses its luster.
Who is your favorite past/present fighter(s)?
Muhammad Ali, Pernell Whitaker, Floyd Mayweather
How & why did you become a trainer?
Started off my coaching career by accident. I worked at an insurance company while attending college and I was typically in better shape than most of my colleagues, so I would get requests for diet plans and workouts all the time. I never saw it as a career, so I didn’t charge people for my time, it was just pure fun to help people.

What is your boxing background?
I have been for boxing 16 years, 14 of the years I competed at amateur level. I started boxing at 8 years old and my first sanctioned bout was at 10 years old. Since then I’ve traveled all over Texas to compete in many tournaments and bouts. I’ve lived in San Antonio my whole life and have had the privilege to box at some of the most bonafide boxing gyms such as bam bam boxing club with former world champion John Micheal Johnson who sparked my amateur career, also legendary Zarzamora Street Boxing Gym, and most of my amateur career at San Fernando Boxing Club. A gym where the city of San Antonio has helped boxers tremendously.
What is your Coaching background?
I’ve been a coach since 2014 and have gotten real diverse in fitness, from Amateur Boxing to its strength and conditioning. I’ve taught many young athletes at high levels for different sports such as basketball, football, soccer, baseball, volleyball and gymnastics. I’ve dedicated my last 5 years at BSB+ in training boxing for all levels from beginner to amateur level competition. Proudly I can say two of my amateurs won their first fights and the smile they had is the same smile on each person I train to reach their goals. Boxing is for anyone and my clients range from 5-62 years old who Ive enjoyed teaching the technicality of a new sport along with losing fat, building muscle and in general staying vigorous to prevent/correct chronic conditions.

How & why did you become a trainer?
Boxing most of my life I never really saw a fitness class style workout until walking into my family’s gym, former world champion Jesse James Leija. Seeing something like that at a young age where you could teach others what you know and what you’ve been through, I just couldn’t wait to one day be a trainer.
